L'artisanat d'Abomey

Dans le centre du pays, l’artisanat d’Abomey perpétue les réalisations prestigieuses de l’ancien Dahomey où était développé un art essentiellement royal. La région de Gbannanmè est réputée pour ses sculptures sur bois. Les régions de Kétou et Porto-Novo sont des foyers de l’Art Yoruba.

Im Zentrum des Landes setzt das Kunsthandwerk von Abomey die prestigeträchtigen Errungenschaften des alten Dahomey fort, wo eine im Wesentlichen königliche Kunst entwickelt wurde. Die Region Gbannanmè ist berühmt für ihre Holzskulpturen. Die Regionen Kétou und Porto-Novo sind Zentren der Yoruba-Kunst.
